Louis Barthelemy was a French painter and sculpture whose studio was in Rue Germain, Pilon street, Montmartre.
He painted Paris street scenes in the early 1940’s and very much in the manner of the renowned French painter Maurice Utrillo (1883-1955).
Among Barthelemy’s works exhibited at the Salon des Tuileries (1941-43) were many views of Paris: Montmartre; Impasse Trainee; Moulin de la Galette,1941; Menilmontant 1943.
