William George Leech was a painter and etcher. He studied art at Lambeth and Putney Schools and in 1935 became a member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours.
Leech went on to exhibit his paintings from 1924 to 1940. He is recorded as living in London in 1924 and 1936 and Weybridge in 1925.
Leech exhibited his work widely at the following, Arlington Gallery; Dudley Gallery & New Dudley Gallery; Fine Arts Society; Walker Art Gallery; Liverpool; Manchester City Art Gallery, Royal Society of Portrait Painters; Royal Academy; Royal Society of British Arts; Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour and the Royal Institute of oil painters.
His work is often confused with that of William leech RHA as they worked at the same time.
